The Wrestler was so gut wrenching to me. I think I bawled from start to finish. Rourke's character reminded me of many men in my life...my dad, my uncles... these men that may not have the classic education beyond the school of hard knocks, but they are profound in other ways. Aronofsky portrayed that so beautifully, and Mickey was perfection.

From the cadence of his speech to the way he carried himself, I felt like I'd met this man before..and the interaction with his daughter was the stamp on the envelope.

I will say, however, that I don't think it is a movie I could watch again. It was so visceral that I don't really know if I'd want to put myself through the emotions of the film again. Which may sound bad, but I think is a compliment to the filmmaker.
